So, here it is my first post and I figure that I should explain the name. But, before I begin; why the blog. There are several reasons.
1 - I thought it would be a fun thing to do with the kids.
2 - I thought it would be good for other people to get different story for pitbulls, see another side.
3 - I thought if anyone else was interested or wondering how or what it was like to foster a dog or puppy, this blog could provide that information.
Which now leads us back to the blog name, Not Quite PB & J. I was trying to come up with something cute. I played with the name foster, puppies, dogs, etc. Then I thought of pit bulls, their bad rap (here is a link to SF Pit Bill rescue Bad Rap http://www.badrap.com/) and how they used to be an american tradition. Back in the day... they were called babysitting dogs. Who remembers The Little Rascals and their dog, probably the most famous Pit Bull, Petey. Then I thought, what is more traditional in american kid culture than Peanut Butter and Jelly's, PB & J's, and I thought that maybe we should remember Pit Bull's once had their place in kid american culture too
